On 11 December, with the support of the Russian Guild of Property Managers and Developers in St. Petersburg , the results of a non-commercial project "The Ranking of an urban living environment in St. Petersburg and adjacent areas of the Leningrad region" were presented.
Within 1,5 years authors of the project – the Institute of Design and Urbanism of ITMO University and the Urbanica Institute of Spatial Planning - have made a research of the quality of urban development and real estate projects for the period 2009-2014.
The goal of the project is to promote the theme of a comfortable urban environment in the spheres of urban planning and development.
The event was attended by authorities, developers and representatives of the construction business, media community, architects, urbanists and experts in the field of urban development.
270 housing complexes of economy and comfort class, which were built in the period from 2009 to 2014 in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, have entered the rating. All objects were assessed on 30 criteria in terms of the scale (city, district, quarter, yard, house territory and the object itself).
